A Better
Balanced Body is a natural wellness spa; a place where anyone can come to
improve the physical wellbeing of their body with a professional staff who
can give advice and work with the public to improve their health. We are a
result-oriented spa, meaning we focus on getting positive, powerful results
for your health, not just pampering and "fluff", like many other spas do. A wide
range of services are offered, including skin care, body care, and pretty much anything to get your body
feeling healthy and balanced. Of course, we strive to pamper and offer
candles, music, ambience, etc., but we're about results, not just the
setting. People from all over San Diego have chosen our spa because of the
great quality service and the way we make our clients feel connected. Feel

A Better
Balanced Body is a place for men and women of all ages, even children,
to learn about and experience better health through education, services
offered and products sold.
Philosophy: Since our beginning in
2005, we have coined ourselves as a "wellness spa", thus meaning we are
dedicated to taking care of our clients' health and wellbeing in general.
While having glowing skin is important, we seek to educate the importance of
taking care of oneself inside and the outside will naturally look better. We
believe in balance, and see eating sensibly and exercising as one of
the key elements in life. Our new spa offers a more serene atmosphere, but
we still cater to wellbeing. We are not just a facade and a nice setting
with candles, we are professionals who can help practically everyone feel
better through our services.
Skin care:
What stands out about our skin services is that we take great care in
choosing a quality product. From there, we use new technology such as
ultrasound to cleanse the face. The advantage of ultrasound is that it
repairs the skin much faster as it removes dead cells.
Massage: Using forms
such as the Alexander technique, our massages provide deep-tissue relief to
help alleviate pain and to help out with the healing process of the body.
Our massage therapists are trained to look for problem areas on your body
and to help alleviate pain in those places.
We do pamper, but our true intentions are to get results and leave you
feeling healthier while fixing sore muscles and any other ailments such as
SI joint issues. We also offer insurance billing, so if your chiropractor or
doctor recommends a massage or physical therapy to alleviate pain, stress
and injuries, then come on over. We know all the codes, etc. to submit to
your insurance company.
Facials: Using
cutting-edge technology, we blend natural masks with ultrasound for a facial
that does not cause redness to the face and is far less abrasive than
microdermabrasion. We first assess the pH of the skin to test for what type
of products will work best for your skin. Most places just use the same
products regardless of what is truly best for each individual. We use our
education to ascertain what is best.
Technology: We are as
cutting-edge business and we regularly attend health and skin conventions to
stay on top of the latest technology. Improvements in technology allow us to
use innovative methods to produce positive results for our clients. Machines
such as the Telangitron allow us to remove spider veins and skin tags using
radio waves to painlessly and permanently remove unwanted skin disorders.
One of our newer machines is the foot peditox machine. By creating reverse
ions, this unit actually removes toxins from your feet. And, of course, our
ultrasound treatments speak for themselves. It is said that after six
treatments with ultrasound, that a person has had the equivalent of a
cosmetic facial. Don't believe it? Try it and see how much younger you look!
We now also offer an oxygen machine to get your sinuses fixed and your brain
energized!
Other machines include the Chi-machine, a unit that simulates the
movement of a fish and allows the vertebrae to loosen up and relieve tension
in the back. We also offer exercise equipment such as the Inversion Table,
designed to aid with spinal compression by allowing the client to literally
hang upside down and stretching out the vertebrae that have been compressed.
Nutrition: We believe
in a healthy diet and exercise as part of a normal lifestyle. Because many
people "skip" vegetables and fruits with their meals, we offer nutritional
supplements such as Juice Plus and the Wellness Kit which contains Greens
First and a fine-blended protein powder for smoothies. We research all of
our products thoroughly; if they don't offer quality nutrition at an
affordable price, we don't sell them. Instead of vitamin supplements, why
not just get your vitamins and minerals directly from the source with our
whole food products? We carry only thoroughly researched supplements
such as the Wellness Watchers kit, Juice Plus and the Cosmedix line of
internal cleansers.
Products: Our products
are carefully selected and researched before we offer them for sale. The
best-seller for value and potency is
Eminence Organic Skin Care, an organic, all-natural line from Hungary. One of
our highest-end products is Osmosis, a chiraly-corrective product that
penetrates the skin for far superior results over other skin products. By
re-spinning the molecules, this company has been able to allow product to
really penetrate and actually fix problems with technology, yet the
ingredients still remain natural. We
also carry PCA, Youngblood Mineral make-up, ColoreScience and Mychelle,
a powerful skin product line, yet cost-effective for the shopper who wants
great results for the best possible price. Our most popular brand is
Éminence, an all-organic line from Hungary. It is said that Hungary has some
of the best and most nutritious mud i the world? They grow their fruits and
nuts in this soil, thus creating some of the most nutritious and fertile
products available to the public, which in turn benefit the skin from their
natural and organic ingredients.
One of the newer services we
are providing is working directly with clients to assist them in making
healthy, yet sensible food choices. Recently, we have begun the task of
removing all of the foods from clients' pantries loaded with artificial
preservatives, and coming up with a reasonable and tasty diet to aid in not
just weight maintenance, but giving the body the necessary nutrients
