Whether you're looking for just a relaxing place to visit, or a full package including gourmet cooking and massage for two, A Better Way Getaway is the place  to stay. The retreat is a large one-bedroom that has just been freshly painted with new tile in the kitchen and entryway. It is approximately 950 square feet!

It does sleep four people.

There is a fold-out couch in the living room, along with TV with VHS/ DVD player.

The Master bedroom has its own TV with cable.

Wireless Internet also included for your laptop.

Bathroom has his/her sinks with a separate toilet/ shower area.

Outside deck has 2 separate entrances from the bedroom and living room.

Large walk-in closet.

ABOUT THE AREA

The retreat is located only 300 feet from Beacon's Beach, and within easy walking distance to local shops and restaurants in the Leucadia area.

Leucadia is a unique beach city and one of the last non-commercialized areas in San Diego. We don't even have a Starbucks here, but we DO have Pannikin coffee, which is actually the old Santa Fe Railroad station.

The location is right off Europa St. and North Coast Highway 101.

Moonlight Beach is one mile south. Grandview Beach is only mile north. We are six miles north of Del Mar, 10 miles north of La Jolla and only 2 miles south of Carlsbad. Downtown Encinitas is one mile south.

The retreat makes a great place to stay during summer and relax. Local attractions include the San Diego County Fair in Del Mar from June 8th- July 4th, and Del Mar race season that runs from July 18th - September 5th. Sea World is approximately a 25 minute drive south, along with the zoo. The Wild Animal Park is only 30 minutes north-east.

This is a family-run business and therefore kid-friendly.

We live on the premises and therefore can help you with anything you might need.

We also own a wellness spa business, therefore spa services are available, including gourmet, healthy meals.

In-room deep-tissue massage is available for 60-minute, 90-minute and couples' massage.

For a great special of only $320.00,(Monday-Thursday), you get a night's stay only steps from Beacon's Beach, a one-hour couples' massage inside your own room AND a gourmet cooked, healthy and balanced meal brought right to your door.  We can also a la carte certain items, for example, night's stay and couples' massage for only $249.00, etc.

You have your own deck to relax on, with an outside "surf shower" underneath.

         A door separates the living room from the bedroom for privacy.
